In my opinion, the Kate Mclaren is the best top dropper fly out there – I wouldn’t go out fishing without a few of these in my fly box. Deady as a top dropper fly – just remember to hang your fly when retrieving. Just before you re-cast, count to 10 seconds, or even 15-20 seconds. Trout will often follow this fly right in, and just hanging it, will often induce a take… and bang, fish on!
